Shangoni Foods is a 100% black female-owned company founded by its director, Ms. Philisiwe Sigcawu with its head offices in Edenvale, Gauteng, South Africa. Our meat is sourced from reputable abattoirs around Gauteng Province and neighboring provinces. We supply fresh sheep and beef tripe using our own delivery services. We have a restaurant that sells delicious traditional cooked meals such as hardbody chicken (Umleqwa), tripe (ulusu), sheep's head (skopo), ox head meat (Umnqambulo) and are available as take-aways or sit-down. We have partnered with UberEats, a door-to-door delivery service.
We also offer catering services for small to medium-sized events. When it comes to traditional dishes, we are a "home away from home" restaurant of choice.

THE SHANGONI CONCEPT
The Shangoni Foods concept originates back in 2020 when the
owner and founder of the brand, Philisiwe Sigcawu, saw a gap in the market to supply fresh
meat to clients in their homes, offering clean and quality meat that meets the standards
of the food industry. This vision shaped Shangoni Foods into what it is today.
As a young girl, Philisiwe loved to play and experiment in the kitchen under the watchful
eye of three strong women who shaped who she is today: her mother, late grandmother, and aunt.
That is where the love and passion for cooking developed.
